What are you filling your mind with on a regular basis?
What we watch, listen to, and read impacts our mindset more than we might realize. It’s so important to be mindful about what type of content your consistently feeding your brain.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not asking you to eliminate all of your guilty pleasures. I have my fair share of cringe-worthy favorites, too. It’s all about balance. If you’re going to binge on the housewives or Kardashian drama, just make sure you’re also spending time diving into content that makes you think, helps you grow, and has a positive impact on your mindset. You can find this type of content in a variety of forms, but my personal favorite is listening to podcasts.
When I first heard the word “podcast” I imagined a very bland recording of someone talking about politics and the economy. I’d heard people rave about their favorite podcasts for a few months but I still wasn’t sold on investing my time into listening.
That is until I was 3 hours deep in a 6 hour road trip, burnt out on music and the sisterly-bickering coming from the back seat. I did a quick google search, found a highly suggested podcast, tapped play, and fell in love.
Seriously! I’m slightly obsessed. Podcasts are the only reason I don’t mind spending an average of 1-2 hours driving everyday.
If you’re looking for some brain food, check out my favorite podcasts to listen to right now!
1. The Minimalists Podcast

After listening to one episode you’ll wish you could be the third wolf in their two-man-wolf-pack.

It’s hard to choose a favorite episode but if I were to pick a favorite to start with I recommend: Episode 33: CONSPIRACY: The Women of Juarez.
or Episode 51: CONSPIRACY: Women in the U.S. Military
or Episode 71: MISSING: Amy Lynn Bradley
3. The Chris Hogan Show
by Ramsey Solutions
When I was 25, I went to an all day Dave Ramsey conference. He had 9 speakers discussing topics like parenting, relationships, budgeting, entrepreneurship, and retirement. Can you guess which speaker was my favorite? If you guessed it was any other speaker than the one who talked about retirement you’d be wrong.
The speaker was Chris Hogan. If you haven’t heard anything by Chris Hogan, you need to stop what you’re doing and check him out now! His voice is what I imagine God’s voice will sound like. He also has an insane ability to inform and inspire you to take care of your finances.
